Web and Phone Interview

Sometime in January - web interview
Tip: answer consistently! There are times when the same question will be worded twice but differently, so
            answer the same

March 7: phone interview
Tip: smile, be enthusiastic, and answer honestly!!!
My top 3 choices were character performer, BBB Hostess, and attractions.

March 16: ACCEPTED!!! :D
I was accepted for Quick Service Food and Beverage... I was actually really bummed about this at first and definitely did some bumming around crying a little. However, I talked to some people that had this role before, requsted a few locations, and went to the Disney meeting at school (it was for those that got accepted, so if they offer this at your school definitely go!). So eventually I got really excited about this and started planning my time down there with my college roomie (she also applied). and...

April 1: officially accepted my QSFB role for FA 2011. My arrival date is May 23!!! My roomie has not yet
heard back and she interviewed March 2. We are still hopeful that the May 23 date will still be available :]

So earlier I had said character performer was my top role... so I decided to attend an audition because I really had nothing to lose since I was already in! I attended the Nashville audition (it was closest to me - New Orleans) and there were only 107 people there! Thank goodness because it definitely gave everyone a better chance :]

March 26: Nashville character performer audition!
I was sooo nervous! I have danced for 15 years but stopped because of college (I'm a freshman) so you could definitely say that I was out of practice :-/ Plus I didn't know anyone there. It started at 11 but I got there at 10 and the studio was already pretty full. I stood by a wall so as not to look so nervous but then started talking to this girl who had also travelled some distance to get there. Thank goodness I found a buddy for the day! Everyone was so nice though :] First they brought us into the studio we'd be practicing and auditiong in. Then they told us how the day would go. First we filled out a card, got a number (#12!), got measured (I was measured at 4'10 and something), and then we got started. First, we practiced our first animation, then our second, and she gave us lots of useful tips! This was all very relaxing and tons of fun! Then we learned a dance sequence. It was 8 counts of 8 I think? Maybe shorter... Then we went into the other room and the first group of 6 went in to audition. BTW we got a lot of practice time! I was in the second group and after my audition she asked me to stay until the end!! Although I didn't want to get my hopes up, I was very curious as to why I had been asked to stay. So finally it's the end and there were 15 of us asked to stay and apparently we knew the dance so they filmed us twice in front of the camera in groups of 5. Then we were done except for the 5 asked to stay but i don't know what for...

Time is ticking and I am constantly checking my email every 10 minutes!!!

April 11: ACCEPTED FOR CHARACTER PERFORMER!!!!! :]
I am completely ecstatic!!! I couldn't believe it! I kept rereading it to see if they made some mistake. It has always been my dream to be a Disney performer :]

As of now my roommate and I are still waiting for her acceptance letter... :[
